Right of Ways (RoW):

RoW on section lines are established at 66 ft, 33 ft on either side of the center line.

RoW in Subdivisions vary, some us 66 ft while other use 80 ft.

In any case it is against the law to place items in the RoW this includes but not limited to trees, planters, landscaping items and the act of landscaping if it is not appropreate to the covendents of your subdivision.
